Houses & custom builds

Single-family and custom home framing.

Production homes and one off custom builds. Floor systems, walls, beams, stairs, trusses, roofs and sheathing, all handled by our own crews.

How we work

The whole frame, or none of it.

Plenty of framing outfits will take the walls and leave somebody else to sort the floor system, the stairs or the roof. That works right up until something does not line up, and then you have two companies each explaining why it is the other one's problem. We frame the complete structure so there is one crew responsible for all of it.

On a production home that means moving at the pace the builder's schedule needs without the quality dropping to get there. On a custom build it means reading a drawing set that is genuinely one of a kind, catching the details that will not work in the field, and raising them before they get built rather than after. Both come off the same crew.

Floor systemsJoists, beams and subfloor set level before a wall goes up.
Walls and openingsPlates, studs, headers and rough openings framed to the drawings.
Beams and point loadsCarried properly down through the structure to the footing.
StairsCut and set on site so the rise is right for the finished floor heights.
Trusses and roofsSet, braced and sheathed, ready for the roofers behind us.
SheathingClosed in so the building is weather ready as soon as the frame is done.
Questions

Single-family questions.

Both. Production work needs pace without the quality dropping, and custom work needs somebody actually reading a one off drawing set rather than assuming it matches the last house. Our crews do both regularly, and we quote them the same way.

Usually a couple of weeks of framing once material is on site, depending on size, complexity and weather. We give you a timeline with the quote and tell you straight away if something on site changes it rather than letting the schedule quietly slip.

Yes. Floor systems, walls, beams, stairs, trusses, roofs and sheathing are all done by our own crews. Nothing gets handed to another company partway through, which is where most coordination problems on a frame come from, and it means one number to call if anything needs adjusting later.

The plan set, the site address and roughly when you need framing to start. We review scope, spans and openings before putting a number on it. If something on the drawings will not work in the field, we raise it at that point rather than mid build.
